Pregnancy Massage

When you are in dire need of relaxation, you might be craving for a good massage. Just like anybody else, pregnant women may also need a therapeutic massage only that it should be more special since it's not just about the mother but also the baby's health.
Pregnancy massage can greatly help in soothing aching muscles brought about by hormonal production and other body changes associated to pregnancy. Since the center of gravity shifts and biomechanical adaptations follow, joints and muscles usually suffer.

Prenatal massage is another term for pregnancy massage. It can be done by expert and license massage therapists who have specialized knowledge of pregnant female bodies. This is very important since inappropriate strokes in wrong parts of the body can also harm the baby. The massage must be given with extra care. The intensity of the massage does not only depend on the mother's tolerance but also to the slight hint coming from her womb.

Pregnancy massage is known to relieve stress and muscle pain. It can also help in swelling relief that pregnant women usually experience. Since the massage can increase the blood circulation, it can relieve swelling in the feet and legs.

Different kinds of massage can give you several benefits. Both prenatal and post natal massage can do good for the pregnant woman and her baby as long as it is properly administered.

  4. This is the first time I've heard of pregnancy massage, and I've carried three babys in my lifetime! If I had heard about it, I would have definitely tried it.

After my first born came to the world, one of the many things we did together as she was still a baby was attend a baby massage course. It was rewarding experience for both of us, and still benefitted her two other young sisters, as each of them joined our family.

I have girlfriends, who I can give the link to this article.
